Call for research projects among the SKSC

We are happy to inform you that the Swiss Kidney Stone Cohort has launched its third call for research proposals 2017/2018:

The submission deadline for this call is 20th November, 2017.

The goal of the Swiss Kidney Stone Cohort is to collect prospective data from Swiss kidney stone formers, including medical history, validated food and activity questionnaires, anthropometric data, stone analysis, biobanking (blood and urine), and DNA. This is one of the most complete and detailed database on kidney stone formers. So far, ~500 patients have been included and follow-up for up to 2 years.

The call is to open the access to data and samples of the Swiss Kidney Stone Cohort. No additional funding is provided and investigators must secure their budget before sending an application, for instance through the coupled HCP call of the NCCR Kidney.CH.

Topics for the research projects could cover one of the following areas:
• Basic research in genetics, molecular and cell biology of kidney stone and related diseases
• Clinical, epidemiological, and interventional studies in the field of kidney stone diseases.
